Through the forum, he hopes to move everyone’s focus from big cities to small towns, from urban environments to suburban areas, and hopes that all countries will attach importance to the sustainable development of small towns.
George Papandreou, Vice Chairman and former Greek Prime Minister shared his views on how countries should respond to the global climate crisis in his keynote speech: He believes that the climate crisis is an undeniable common problem that is getting worse. The purpose of this forum is to call on everyone to take action and explore the possibility of cooperation from different levels to jointly fight climate change. According to his political experience, this is not something that any country or leader can do on his own, but must unite all continents, countries, cities and towns, and even civil societies to participate and work together.
